1. CREATE Framework
1. CREATE Framework:
Students at Studio Schools develop key employability skills through the unique CREATE skills framework. CREATE is comprised of a wide range of skills and stands for Communication, Relating to people, Enterprise, Applied skills, Thinking skills and Emotional intelligence.

2. Enterprise: Learning through Enterprise Projects and the CREATE skills framework allows Studio School students to develop enterprising behaviours.

3. Local Employer Links
3. Local Employer Links: Studio Schools work closely with local employers and businesses, who help develop the curriculum, design project briefs, mentor students, and provide work experience and work placements.

4. Work Placements and Apprenticeships
4. Work Placements and Apprenticeships: Studio School students spend a significant portion of their weekly time on real work placements. Students work as employees in local businesses and students over sixteen will earn a wage.

5. Practical and Multidisciplinary Learning: Studio School students learn the National Curriculum principally through Enterprise Projects in their school, local businesses and surrounding community.

6. Project work in schools for local employers: To root students’ learning in the real world most Enterprise Projects will involve external commissions. Businesses and local employers will design project briefs, which will help develop the skills that their business needs.

7. Personalisation
7. Personalisation: All Studio School students are assigned a ‘personal coach’ who will meet with them one-to-one every fortnight to develop their own personalised learning plan. This allows students to tailor their curriculum to their individual needs and aspirations, and track their progress towards their CREATE skills and qualifications.

8. Small School Numbers: As small schools of around 300 students, Studio Schools offer a supportive, personalised learning environment in which strong pastoral care runs throughout the school’s activities.
